Part 18.

Hey guys! Here is part 18! Enjoy and thanks for reading! I've decided that one day I'm going to make a book out of all these, but it'll be a while, I have a lot left to write!

“Oh my...” Lindsi’s mother said as she grabbed Lindsi’s ringed hand. “ Isn’t it beautiful!?” Lindsi squealed. “Yes... Mom… He told me he loved me..” Lindsi said. Lindsi’s mother looked up. “HE DID?” “YES!” Lindsi said happily. “Oh my goodness!” “I know... I just am in awe. It amazes me.” “I know it does sweetheart.” Lindsi’s mother said happily.

The next morning Lindsi’s woke to the sound of her phone ringing on her bedside table. She answered it sleepily. “Helllo?” She said stretching under her warm covers. “I love hearing you when you just wake up.” Trevors voice said over the phone. “I wish I could say the same about waking up to answer you.” Lindsi said rolling over. “Awe baby, I’m sorry. Now get up and look out your window.” “Ughhhhh. Trevor. You better not be here I swear I look like crap. At least give me some time to get ready.” Trevor laughed. “I’m not there baby, just look for me. And for the record I’m sure you look great.” “I’m only getting out of this bed because I love you.” Lindsi said. “I love you too now go.” Lindsi walked to her window and pulled back the curtain. The ground had at least 5 inches of snow on it and it was still coming down. “It’s snowing!” Lindsi said excitedly. “Yes baby. Now you can go back to bed if you want.” Trevor said. “ARE YOU CRAZY?! I’m heading outside pronto!” Lindsi said scrambling for clothes. Trevor laughed. “I was hoping you’d say that. I’m on my way.” “Did you-“ Lindis started. “Yes, I talked to your mom this mornig and she said it was cool, and my parents are staying inside because they can’t do anything outside with this much snow on the ground.” “Awesome! BE VERY CAREFUL! I’ll see you when you get here I love you!” Lindsi said. “I love you too baby, and I’m going like 30 miles an hour. No worries. Don’t use up all the snow on the ground so there isn’t any for when I get there!” Trevor said excitedly. “Oh I don’t think we will have to worry about that.” Lindsi said. “Okay baby I’ll see you in a while. Oh, by the way, you sure did change your tune quickly once you realized it was snowing, and I was coming to see you.” Trevor said jokingly. Lindsi laughed. “Shut up, I love you, byeee!” Lindsi then hung up the phone, finished getting dressed, and headed outside. Once outside she went and got her dog Maya so she could experience her first snow. Maya didn’t really know what to think of it. It was cold, wet, and white. She licked at it and the dug in it, then ran and tried to eat the falling snowflakes. She was a hoot. About 45 minutes later, after Maya was all tired out, and put back in her pen, Lindsi heard Trevor pull into the driveway.  Lindsi scooped up some snow and made a snowball. She then snuck around and out the gate, and chunked the snowball and Trevor’s back. As the snowball hit him he turned around smiling. “This. Means. War. Come here you!” Trevor said running after Lindsi. Lindsi ran back to the backyard, and Trevor followed. Lindsi hurriedly picked up more snow and chunked it at him, hitting him in the chest. Trevor then picked up snow and threw it hitting Lindsi in the butt. “Hey!” Lindsi said stopping and turning around. Trevor caught her, and wrapped his arms around her. “I knew that would get you to stop, so I could catch you.” Trevor said out of breath. “Dang you.” Lindsi said hugging him close. “I caught you, so therefore I win. So where’s my prize?” Trevor said as he raised his eyebrows. “Right here.” Lindsi said as she neared to kiss him, but right before she did she dumped a handful of snow down the back Trevor’s shirt. “OHHHH! COLD!” Trevor said dancing around to get the snow out of his shirt. Lindsi doubled over laughing. Trevor took that moment to stop dancing and scoop her up over his shoulder. “Trevor put me down!” Lindsi said as she flailed her legs and arms. “Ha! And risk you dumping snow down my shirt again? In your dreams baby.” Trevor carried Lindsi around the yard and she continued to laugh and protest. Finally he moved her to where he was holding her back with one arm and his other was under her knees.  “Are you ready to play nice and fair?” Trevor said as he looked at Lindsi’s flushed pink cheeks. “I suppose so.” Lindsi huffed. “I can always carry you around some more like a sack of potatoes.” Trevor said. “NO! I’ll be nice!” Lindsi pleaded. “Okay. Promise?” Trevor asked. “I promise.” Lindsi said and she wrapped her arms around Trevor’s neck. “Good. Now where were we before you dumped frozen water down my back?” Lindsi smiled. “Right. Here.” She then kissed Trevor’s cold mouth. “Perfect” Trevor whispered. “I couldn’t agree more.” Lindsi whispered back.

Part 17.

Here is my latest edition to my love story. Thanks for reading!!! :)

Lindsi couldn’t fight the tears that began to form in her eyes. Trevor knew she wasn’t sad though. She had the biggest smile on her face he had ever seen. “Trevor…” Lindsi said as she tried to control herself. Trevor took the ring out of the box for her. “Will you wear this ring Lindsi?” Trevor said starting to tear up himself. “Yes. Yes. Yes.” Lindsi repeated over and over as Trevor slipped the ring on her finger. When the ring was on Lindsi wrapped her arms around Trevor and Trevor wrapped his arms around Lindsi. They just looked at each other for a long time. Finally Lindsi spoke up. “Trevor, I love you too.” Trevor then began to cry again. “Baby! Stop! You’re going to ruin my makeup.” Lindsi said tearing up again. “I’m sorry baby. It just means so much to hear you say that. You are the only girl I’ve ever said that to.” That stopped Lindsi dead. He had never told any other girl that he had dated that he loved them? Wow. “Really?” Lindsi asked. “Really. I’ve never really felt the connection with them that I do with you. It took a lot of guts to say that.” “I can only imagine, honey.” Lindsi said as she snuggled into his jacket. “So do you like your ring?” “I absolutely love it, and you.” Lindsi said smiling and wiping a stray tear away from the corner of Trevor’s eye. He then reached up and took Lindsi’s hand and kissed the tips of her fingers and kissed the ring. Lindsi beamed. “I love that smile. I love everything about you.” Trevor said as he kissed Lindsi. This kiss was different, it was like they both had nothing to hold back any longer. Their feelings were free. And they loved it.  “You know I was worried you weren’t going to like the ring, or me telling you I loved you.” Trevor said as the kiss ended. “Why?” Lindsi said shocked. “I’ve wanted to tell you since our dancing date. I was afraid it was too soon.” “No. Don’t think that. It was perfect timing.” “Trevor smiled and held Lindsi’s hand. “Do you want to go for a walk?” “Sure! That would be great. I’ll just tell mom.” Lindsi said as she yelled through the door at her mother that they were going on a walk. After her mother OKed it, the two started out around the block. They were handing in hand and about half way through there walk when Lindsi felt something cold hit her hand. “Did you feel that she said as she looked at Trevor. “Yea...” Trevor said quizzically. Then before their very eyes, it began to snow. What a perfect Christmas this turned out to be. It might have been Christmas time, but Lindsi had spring time feelings in the middle of December.

“Oh! Snow!” Lindsi said as the flakes began to fall liberally. Trevor let go of Lindsi’s hand and caught some flakes in his hand. “You think it’ll stick?” Trevor asked. “I hope so I’ve got an itch for a snowball fight.” Lindsi said eyeing Trevor mischievously. “Do you now?” Trevor said advancing in Lindsi’s direction. “Mhm.” Lindsi said backing away. “I’ll have you know I’m a hunter.. so I’m a master at aim.” Trevor said getting closer to Lindsi. “Whatever. I won’t believe it til I see it.” Lindsi said. “Challenge accepted.” Trevor said smugly. “I bet you can’t even catch me.” Lindsi said playfully. “Again. Challenge accepted.” Trevor said advancing toward Lindsi quicker. Lindsi began to run. “Ah! The thrill of the hunt!” Trevor said as he ran after her.  Lindsi was laughing so hard it was beginning to get hard to run. Trevor caught up with her and wrapped his arms around her from behind. “I caught you babe.” Trevor breathed into her neck. “I know...” Lindsi said exhausted. “Now I get to... EAT YOU!!!” Trevor said as he nibbled on Lindsi’s neck and ear. Lindsi melted into a fit of giggles. “Wait! If you eat me then who will you love?” Lindsi asked. “Oh I just wanted a taste.” Trevor said licking his lips. “I’ll give you something to taste.” Lindsi mumbled as she spun around and kissed him. After the kiss was over Trevor said “That tasted like sugar. Sweet. Just like you.” Lindsi laughed. “Thank you babe, I’m pretty sure my dad could learn from you.” “Oh does he use corny lines like that too?” Trevor asked as he wrapped his arms around Lindsi again. “Every chance he gets.” Lindsi said. Trevor laughed. “So does my dad. It’s hilarious.” “Stick around and I’m sure you’ll hear some of my dad’s.” Lindsi said as they rounded the last turn to her house. “Oh I plan to sweetheart.” Trevor said they returned to her driveway. “You better go before the roads get to bad!” Lindsi said worried. “Okay babe. I will. I’ll drive really careful too.” Trevor said as he unlocked his truck door. “Okay babe, I don’t know what I’d do if something where to happen to you!” Lindsi said snuggling into Trevor. “Ditto baby.” Trevor said lifting Lindsi’s chin and taking her hand. “Merry Christmas sweetheart. I love you.” Trevor said as he kissed Lindsi goodbye. “I love you too baby. I love you too.” Lindsi said as the kiss ended. “I’ll text you when I get home.” Trevor said as he hugged Lindsi before he climbed into his truck. “Please be careful babe.” Lindsi said as he buckled in. “I swear babygirl.” Lindsi pressed her hand to the cold truck door and smiled. Trevor smiled and started his truck. Lindsi backed away and waved as he carefully backed out of her drive. She stood in the street until he was out of sight. It was then that she screamed and jumped up and down and looked at her ring. Then hurriedly went in to show her mother.

From the Heart. (Forgiveness)

Hey guys, I'm taking a short break from my love story to lay out my feelings. My best friend and I have parted ways. I'm having a hard time forgiving her, but I know I have to because forgiveness is for me, not her. So here goes. Stay Strong, we  where friends for 5 years. From the VERY FIRST DAY of high school, to about the 2nd month of college. We went through tears, family issues, boyfriends, laugher, everything. You were like a sister to me. I opened up my heart, family, house, everything I had to you. When you started college I started to get worried for you. I wasn't judging you. I was trying to help you. I can not hold you accountable for your own actions. That's something you have to do for you. I did however tell you I would help you if you needed it. The next thing I know Haley is jumping on me for a comment I made on something you posted that was meant to be positive. That was hurt number one, I know you say Haley is her own person, and I understand that but I KNOW you saw the comments. You didn't stick up for me. That hurt. Then you took me off your Facebook without explanation. Hurt #2. Then you reach out to me and I try and talk it out with you and Haley jumps in AGAIN. Hurt #3. I thought I meant so much more to you than this. I have ALOT of hurt, betrayal, anger, and resentment toward you. What you did to me hurt. It cut deep. You traded your BEST FRIEND (or so I thought) for a girl who you didn't even like at the beginning, and known less than a month. That hurt. It sucked. You replaced me with her. My song to you is Warrior by Demi. I know you are familiar. I didn't do anything you. I didn't say anything negative, I didn't do anything. You just disappear, and change friends and toss 5 years of  friendship away like it was nothing, hurt #4. And then you say I "judged you" and wasn't a real friend... hurt #5. If I did judge you im sorry. I don't see how everything I did for you was "judging you". I don't know if ill ever be able to go back. I'll forgive you eventually, but you made your choice when you let Haley say those EXTREMELY HURTFUL things to me. Hurt#5. I'm sorry if I "wasn't a real friend".  I think I was as real as I could be. I'm sorry to say this but you were wrong. I just don't understand how you can just up and throw away 5 years of friendship. I'm numb, and at a loss for words. I'm just amazed. You talked to me like I wasn't even anything to you. Like we never had 5 years of history. You have changed. You have started listening to rap music, you started talking "nigga" "ghetto" all this. You haven't figured out who you are yet, you just go with whatever influence you are around. It's like you aren't your own person anymore. You let the influence of others overshadow who you really are inside and who I thought you were inside. You changed your outlook on life. All you want ot do anymore is sleep and have fun. I recall you even saying "Who needs college?". Its like you haven't come to terms with the fact that you are in college, and are grown up now. You want to skate by with doing the minimal amount of work. I'm saying all this to say this: You are NOT the friend, the person, the BFF that I knew. You have allowed others to call me ugly names and to say HORRIBLE things to me without so much as an "I'm sorry." I know that I should forgive and I will but it will take time.

Part 16

Finals came and went and Trevor and Lindsi aced all of them. "We make a pretty good team." Trevor had said that day after all finals were over. "I agree." They went out to lunch to celebrate their first semester of college coming to a close.

Christmas was finally here and Lindsi could not be more excited. She had spent Christmas day with her family but both Trevor's and her parents agreed they could spend the 26th together. Trevor came over to Lindsi's house at 2 o clock. "Merry Christmas Trevor!" Lindsi's mother said when Trevor had arrived. "Merry Christmas Mrs. Chadwick." Trevor said as he gave Mrs. Chadwick a hug. "Merry Christmas Mr. Chadwick!" Trevor said as he went and shook Lindsi's dads hand. "Merry Christmas Trevor." Lindsi's dad said in return. "Gift time!" Lindsi said emerging from her room with a package. "Open yours first!" Lindsi said handing Trevor the gift. Trevor sat on the couch and Lindsi sat next to him. Lindsi's mother sat on  the lounge chair across from them and Lindsi's father was in his favorite recliner. Trevor tore into the present and pulled out a silver picture frame with hearts and love related words on the frame. Inside the frame was a picture of them both together that Lindsi had taken off of Trevor's Facebook and had sized and printed. "Oh Baby! I love this! I can put it beside my bed and look at you now every night before I go to sleep." Lindsi smiled. " I know its not much but I thought it would be a sweet gift." "I love it." Trevor said as he kissed Lindsi. "Hey! Hey! Hey!" Lindsi's dad said aggravated. "Daddy! It's Christmas! And Didn't I tell you I'd pay you back one day for all that mushy crap you say and do to mom?" "Well that's different." Lindsi's dad said. "It always is." Lindsi said. "C'mon Trevor.. We'll go outside." Lindsi said. And they did. Once outside, Lindsi spoke up again.. there's actually more than one reason I wanted to come out here. Not just cause of daddy. But there is also something I want to say that goes along with your gift.." "Okay baby.. Shoot." "Trevor McKnight. You are the most thoughtful, considerate, amazing guy I have ever met. You are my dream guy. I thank GOD for you each and everyday. I hope and pray this relationship never ends. You are my other half. You are my best friend." Trevor smiled. "Stop right there please ma'am." Sit down and open your gift now." "But I wasn't done!" Lindsi said. "I don't care baby. Open this. Then I can something's to say as well." Lindsi's heart leaped as she looked at the box in Trevor's  hand. It looked like a ring box..... She took its and unwrapped it. It was a small velvet box. "Trevor..." Lindsi said. "Open the box baby." Trevor said smiling. Lindsi cracked the box open. inside was a silver ring with two hearts laces together with diamonds on both sides. "Trevor.. I..." "Shhh/ It's my turn to talk. I've wanted to tell you this since our dancing date. Lindsi. You have made me the happiest guy alive. Since the day I first met you have captured my heart, I knew the minute I saw you  in the library I want you to be my girlfriend. The ring you see before you is a promise ring. I promise to never ever leave you. I promise to be here whenever you need me. I promise to give you the respect and love you deserve. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I need you. You have filled  a space in my heart I thought no one could. You make my days brighter and help me get through hard days... Lindsi I love you."

Part 15

Lindsi smiled as Trevor spun her around. The two danced to slow songs only centimeters apart, they two stepped, Trevor even managed to dip her a couple of times without dropping her! At 10 o clock Trevor and Lindsi were dancing to "Fall" by Clay Walker. This was the last song of the night. When the song ended Trevor pulled Lindsi into him and hugged her. "Wow. You are an amazing dancer." "And here I thought I had two left feet this whole time!" Lindsi said listening to his heart. "No way baby. I didn't notice you falter once." Trevor said as he laid his chin on top of Lindsi's head and swayed slightly. Another thing Lindsi loved about Trevor: He was taller than her. Even in 3 inch heels she had to stand on her tiptoes. Trevor and Lindsi were about to make their way back to his truck when Lindsi made the comment: "All that dancing made my feet a little sore." Trevor smiled at her and knelt down. "Hop on." "On your back?" "Isn't that what a piggy back ride is?" "Yes.. But I weigh 145 pounds.. I don't want to throw out your back.." Lindsi said hesitantly. "Oh that's cute. I lift hay bales heavier than you baby, now get on." Lindsi smiled and did as she was told. "You know I was just making the comment. I didn't expect you to carry me all this way." Lindsi said innocenlty as she and Trevor started toward his truck. "Uh huh. Sure, just like you didn't own a mothership and come from Jupiter.." Trevor said jokingly. "Okay.. okay.. so maybe I did!" Lindsi said laughing. "It's okay baby. I'd carry you across the Mexican Desert."  Trevor said as he stopped in front of the passenger side door. Lindsi hopped off his back and went to open the door but Trevor stopped her. "Tre-" Lindsi turned to him to ask why he was holding the door when he kissed her. After the kiss was over Trevor whispered: "Thank you for being my date and dance partner tonight baby." "Your welcome baby. It was so much fun!" Lindsi said as she played with Trevor's shirt collar. "Wow.." Trevor said as he smiled. "What?" Lindsi asked looking up. "The way your eyes light up when you look at me.." Lindsi flushed red again. " That's cute too. The way you blush. It's completely adorable." Lindsi smiled and shook her head. "Never have I had a guy be so sweet, and thoughtful and think so highly of me." "I'm only giving you what you need and deserve Lindsi." "I know.. I hope I am doing the same for you.." Lindsi said slightly worried. Trevor wrapped her in another hug. "Baby. You did that when you agreed to be my girlfriend, you do that everyday.." Lindsi hugged him tighter. "Baby?" Lindsi said as  Trevor took both her hands. "Yes?" "Do me a favor?" "Anything." "Please don't leave. You are my dream come true. You helped me believe in love again. You helped me see that when you find the right person and that love isn't just an empty promise." Trevor smiled. "I will stay as long as you want me to Lindsi. I'm not going anywhere." "Thank you." Lindsi said as Trevor tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear. "Your welcome my Princess. Now, lets get you home before your dad is sitting on the front porch with a shot gun!" Lindsi laughed. And climbed into the truck.

On the way home Trevor and Lindsi decided that since finals were only a week from today, they would meet up all next week to begin preparing. After finals week they were out of school until January 21st 2014. They also talked about Christmas. "I want to get you something." Trevor said. "Trevor! NO! You really don't have to!" "I want to! and I will! Missy!" Trevor said definitely. "Okay, I was getting you something regardless of weather you got me something or not." Lindsi said as Trevor turned into her drive. Stubborn aren't we?" Trevor asked. "Always babe." Lindsi said smiling. "Trevor smiled and hopped out of the truck  with Lindsi. "Thank you again for a great night Trevor.  It was yet another wonderful date." "Thank you for coming Lindsi. Thank you for being you." Trevor said as he kissed Lindsi goodnight. Lindsi went into the house and Trevor went back to his truck. He sat their for a while before he drove away. He never wanted this relationship to end. Lindsi was leaning on the front door inside the house thinking the exact same thing.

Part 14.

The next day, as promised, Trevor showed up. Lindsi was feeling better, she had gone to the doctor that morning and had her first antibiotics down her. She was sitting on the couch in her favorite fuzzy PJs when the knock on the door came. Lindsi got up and answered it. "Hey babe!" Trevor said as he pulled Lindsi into his arms. "Hey darling' "  Lindsi said. "Your looking better today!" "Yes, Its amazing what sleep, two amazing people, and antibiotics can do for a girl." Lindsi said as she sunk into Trevor's embrace. "Trevor! Pleasure to see you again." Lindsi's mom said as she came to the kitchen from the hallway. "Same to you Mrs. Chadwick, I hope you don't mind." "Not in the slightest." Lindsi's mom said.  Trevor and Lindsi went to the couch and Trevor turned the volume down. "Lindsi. I need to ask you something." Yes. Yes. I will marry you. Lindsi thought to herself. "Sure babe." Lindsi said turning her attention to him. "My parents are dying to meet you.. Would you be my date to dinner Friday night?" "Of course!" Lindsi said excited. "Great! Then after I have another surprise, If you feel up to it." "I'm sure I'll be well by then." "Okay baby. But I do have a dress code for Friday night." "Okay. Shoot." Lindsi said curious. "A dress or skirt. and some fancy but comfy shoes." Lindsi wasn't really a dress our skirt girl unless she HAD to be, and those was one of those times. "Okay baby. I'll  do it." Lindsi said already formulating ideas in her head. Trevor left around 3, as he had stuff to do. Lindsi told her mom about Trevor's plans for Friday and she seemed happy, but still concerned about her daughters health.

Friday night finally rolled around and Trevor was set to be at Lindsi's house in an hour. Lindsi had decided on wearing her brown sweater dress and black tights with brown boots and grabbed her trench coat out of the coat closet. (It was December for crying out loud)  Her hair was loose and curly. When Trevor picked her up he was wearing purple. A purple long sleeved button up shirt, wranglers, boots, and a black cowboy hat. He looked really good. "Have.. mercy... You look stunning." Trevor said as Lindsi got into the truck. "Oh, I've only worn this thing twice." "You should wear it more. It looks nice." Trevor said. "Thank you Lindsi" said as she took Trevor outstretched hand. They held hands and talked until the pulled into his house. It was a brown brick house, with rock outlines. It looked very cozy.  "Well this is it." Trevor said as he turned the truck off. Lindsi swallowed hard. "Babe? You aren't nervous are you?" "YES!" Lindsi blurted out. Trevor grabbed Lindsi's face gently. "Baby, Just be yourself. I..m sure they will love you." Lindsi smiled. "Okay baby. Let's go." Trevor hopped out and so did Lindsi. They held hands until Trevor opened the front door. " Mom! Dad! I'm home!" Trevor's mother came out of what Lindsi assumed to be the kitchen. The inside of the house was twice as nice as the outside. " Oh! You must be Trevor's girlfriend! I've heard such great things about you!" Trevors mother said as she hugged Lindsi. Lindsi smiled and relaxed. As the hug ended, Lindsi smiled and said: "Yes ma'am, Mrs. McKnight. I'm Lindsi, pleased to meet you." " Please call me Debra." "Who s this beautiful girl in my house! Could it be Lindsi? The girl Trevor talks about from sun up to sun down?" Lindsi flushed red. "Hello Mr. McKnight, That's me. Lindsi Chadwick. It's a pleasure to meet you." "My goodness son she is even prettier in person. That picture on your phone does her no justice." Lindsi flushed pink again. Mr. McKnight took Lindsi's outstretched hand and shook it. "Pleasure to meet you Ms. Chadwick. Call me George." Lindsi smiled. "That's my grandfathers name." "Oh? Really now?" Mr. McKnight asked. "Yes sir. My mother's father." "Well just tell your grandfather hello from one George to another." "I will do that sir." Lindsi said looking upward and smiling. "Come! Sit! Dinner is almost ready." Mrs. McKnight said as she lead Lindsi and Trevor to the dinning room.  Trevor and Lindsi sat down next to each other at the long mahogany table, while Mr. McKnight sat across from them. Trevor placed his hand on the table and Lindsi gladly took it. Trevor was drawing circles with his thumb when Mr. McKnight said: "So Miss Lindsi what are you studying at Texarkana College?" Well Sir, This semester I'm doing the basics I didn't get in high school from dual credit, and then in the spring I'm going to major in Behavioral Sciences." "Oh my! Dual credit? Smart, and pretty. Just like your mother." Mr. McKnight said pointing at Trevor. "Trevor laughed. Right about then Mrs. McKnight came to the dining room doorway. Dinners ready if you want to come dish up your plates." Trevor and Lindsi walked hand in hand to the kitchen where on the counter sat garlic bread, a salad bowl, and a pot of spaghetti, another pot of ravioli, and what looked to be fettuccini alfreado. "Dig in!" Mrs. McKnight said coming behind Lindsi and squeezing her shoulders. "Trevor told me you  liked Italian food, and that you had been sick, so I figured this would be a get well treat." "Oh my! Thank you Mrs. M...Debra. This look amazing. Did Trevor also tell you I love to eat?" Lindsi smiled and Mrs. Debra let out a lighthearted giggle. "Honey we all do around this house, you fit right in!" After everyone had gotten their plates and was seated in the dining room Mr. McKnight offered to say the blessing. After the blessing was said, and they were all digging into their meal, they talked about college, Mr. McKnight's work, Trevor, Lindsi's parents, and everything in-between. They laughed and cut up. Lindsi felt like she already had a second family. After everyone was stuffed, Lindsi helped Mrs. McKnight clear the table. "Oh no! No ma'am! I got this! You got sit down yo are our guest!" "Mrs. Debra! After that delicious meal its the least I could do!" "No sweetie! Go sit down!" "I'm afraid you won't be sitting for long." Trevor said as he entered the kitchen. "Oh? Why's that?" Lindsi asked. "I can't tell you babe, surprise remember?"  "Awh! Not even a hint?" Lindsi whined. "Nope." Trevor said shaking his head. "Well you two run along then!" "Yes stop keeping this girl waiting boy!" Mr. McKnight said as he walked in behind Trevor. "Alright! Alright!" Trevor said laughing. "Lindsi it was wonderful to meet you, I hope to see you again soon!" Mrs. McKnight said hugging Lindsi. "Yes, I agree, It was a pleasure to meet you Miss Lindsi." Mr. McKnight hugged Lindsi as well. "It was a pleasure to meet and dine with you both as well." Lindsi said. Trevor kissed his mom on the cheek and hugged his dad. "I'll see you guys later!" He said as he and Lindsi walked out the door. When they got back into the truck and buckled in Trevor said: "They loved you. They REALLY loved you. Just like I said." "I loved them too! They are so easy going and your moms an awesome cook. Almost as good as mine." Lindsi said smiling. "Well I wouldn't know." Trevor said looking at Lindsi. "You may find out sooner than you think boy." Lindsi said. Trevor smiled as he started down the road. They drove for what seemed like forever. "Where are we going?" Lindsi finally asked, "Right here Miss. Impatient." Lindsi looked out the window at what looked to be an old metal building. "Come on." Trevor said as he hopped out of the truck. Lindsi followed him to the building and then he covered her eyes. "Trevor!" Don't open yet." They walked a few more steps and then Trevor moved his hands from her field of view. The building was lit dimly with candles and a spot light in the center. Trevor then walked over to an old stereo and pushed a button. The building was flooded with the sound of Cowboys and Angels by Dustin Lynch. Trevor then walked over to Lindsi and gathered her in his arms. "I don't suppose you dance?" Trevor whispered. " One thing I was blessed with was rhythm baby. I could dance all night long." "Good." Trevor said "That's exactly what I plan to do."

Part 13.

Lindsi woke up 2 hours later. Trevor was sitting on the other side of where he was when she when to sleep. "Hey pretty girl." "Hi" Lindsi said hoarsely. Trevor came and wrapped Lindsi up in his arms. "Your mom told me about your story in your blog. About a guy named Trevor." Lindsi smiled. "Yea, That was my fairytale." Trevor lifted Lindsi's chin and stroked her cheek softly. " I read it. Now you asked me if GOD put us together. If that is not a sign that he did then I don't know what is." Trevor kissed Lindsi then. Lindsi tried to pull away but Trevor wasn't having it. That kiss said so much without saying anything. after the kiss was over, Lindsi said "You are going to get sick now! GERMS YOU KNOW!" "Baby, I could care less about the germs, your my baby girl, we share germs." Lindsi smiled and settled back down on the couch with Trevor. They watched Golden Girls and he played with her hair, they talked about her blog story, and Trevor made her soup. This was one of the times Lindsi didn't mind being sick. She loved Trevors company. Around 4 o clock Lindsi's dad came home. "Who's truck is blocking the driveway?! He said gruffly.  "Mine sir." Trevor said from the couch. "Trevor. Go move your truck. What are you doing on the couch with my daughter?" About that time Lindsi's mom cut in. "Lindsi woke up sick this morning and came home from college, and Trevor noticed how bad she looked and followed her here to look after her." "Does he not think you are capable of taking care of her or something?" "Dad..." Lindsi said from the couch. Lindsi's fathers' face softened at the sound of her hoarse voice. "My poor baby girl!" "Trevor bought me all this." She gestured to the tissues, medicine, and all that was in the Wal-Mart bags. "He is a good man dad..." "Oh sweetheart I know he probably  is." Lindsi's dad said as he bent to kiss her forehead. About that time Trevor came in from moving his truck. "Sorry about that Mr. Chadwick. I've been watching over Lindsi all day." "So I've heard." Lindsi father said. "Just park your truck over to the side of the driveway next time son." Lindsi's dad continued as he clapped a hand on  Trevor's shoulder. "Will do sir." "Trevor are you staying for dinner?" Lindsi's mom asked. " No ma'am. But I would like to stay a while longer. If that's alright with you and Mr. Chadwick." "Fine with me." Said Lindsi's mom. "I guess that'd be alright." said Lindsi's dad as he walked to the bathroom. Once he was out of earshot Lindsi looked at Trevor who had sat back down with her on the couch. "I'm sorry.. He can be kind of gruff when he gets off work. Unless its Thursday, then his week is over." Lindsi said. "Trevor would you help me move Lindz back to her bedroom please?" "Yes ma'am." Trevor picked Lindsi up before she knew what was going on. "That's not exactly what I meant!" said Lindsi mom laughing as she picked up the tissues and Lindsi half empty bottle of Gatorade. "Her room is the last room on the left." She said as Trevor started down the hall. Once their He set Lindsi down on her bed and pulled her covers back. "There you are baby." Trevor said as Lindsi crawled under the covers. Trevor then pulled up the desk chair Lindsi had in the corner of her room and sat down next to the bed. Lindsi mom came in and set her Gatorade down on her T.V. tray, along with tissues. "Trevor I thank you for watching over her today. It was sweet of you to do that." "Anytime Mrs. Chadwick I doubt I did as good as you though." Trevor said smiling and taking Lindsi's hand. Lindsi's mom smiled. "Well I'm going out here to fix supper, holler if you need something." "Will do." Trevor said. After Lindsi's mom had gone, Lindsi spoke up. "Thank you for today Trevor. It was wonderful. I actually didn't mind being sick so much." "Your welcome Lindz." Trevor said as he kissed Lindsi's forehead and stroked her hair. Trevor stayed and watched over Lindsi for about 15 more minutes. "I'm going to go babe." Trevor said as Lindsi started to drift off again. "I don't want you too!" Lindsi said sulking. Trevor smiled and laughed. "I don't want to go either babe, but I can't spend the night." "I know..." Lindsi said sadly. "Chin up babe. I'll be back tomorrow at 1." "YOU WILL!?" Lindsi said perking up again. "Yes! I cleared it with your mom already and she said it was fine. My classes end at 11:30." "OH BOY!" Lindsi said like a kid that just got a new toy on Christmas day. "Now, You rest. Drink this. ALL OF IT. And eat dinner. and rest. I'll text you as soon as I get home until I pass out." Lindsi smiled and her eyes started to water. "Baby! are you crying? I'll be back!" Trevor said as he hugged Lindsi close. "Not that baby. You are just so amazing. I am so lucky to have you." Lindsi said through tears and congestion. "I'm lucky to have you too baby. I'm glad your mine." Trevor kissed Lindsi again. "Goodbye sweetheart." Lindsi said as she leaned her head again Trevors. "Bye baby."  Trevor then stood, put the computer chair back and walked out of the room. Lindsi heard Trevor say his goodbyes to her mom and dad and then the door shut behind him. Lindsi laid her head on her pillow and sighed. She was sick alright. Lovesick. Head over Heels for sure.
