Part 12.

The next morning Lindsi woke up, and her throat was scratchy. "OH no!" Lindsi said as he mother poured her some coffee. "I'm...sick!" Lindsi said horrified. "Here dear." Lindsi mom laid two Advil on the counter. Lindsi swallowed them and went and got ready for school. She was starting to fell like serious dodo. "If you get to feeling too bad come home." Lindsi's mom said as Lindsi backed out of the driveway. "I will momma." Lindsi got to Mcdonalds at 7:30. That gave Trevor and her 30 minutes to eat before class started.  Trevor met Lindsi at her car as she drove into the parking lot. "Good morning baby!" Trevor said as he neared Lindsi for her good morning kiss. "Lindsi turned her head. "Baby.. I'm sick.. I can't risk you getting this." "Awh! Babe! Look at you... Your nose is running,  your eyes are glassy, and watering. and your freezing." Trevor opened his jacket so Lindsi could get wrapped in it. "Oh.. It's warm in here..." Lindsi said as Trevor encompassed her in his big camo jacket. "Let's get inside love." Trevor said as Lindsi let go of him and slipped out of his jacket. Once inside Lindsi ordered a hot chocolate and a sausage biscuit, and Trevor ordered a sausage burrito and a coffee. They sat and waited for their meal. Trevor sat beside Lindsi instead of across from her, and had her all wrapped up in his arms. "Orda numba 16!" Said the lady at the front. "I'll get it baby." Trevor said as he got up from the table.  He came back and placed Lindsi's food in front of her. "Thanks baby." Lindsi said as she snuggled into him again. "I think after this you should go back home baby.. you look like you feel horrible. "Mmkay." Lindsi said as she took a bite of her biscuit. After the two finished eating Lindsi and Trevor walked outside and Lindsi told Trevor goodbye. "Have a good day, I'm sorry I got sick and can't spend it with you..." Lindsi said. "It's not your fault love. I'll have a good day. I promise."  Lindsi kissed Trevor on the cheek lightly and got into her car.
Once home, Lindsi's mom made her a spot on the couch and got her something to drink. She was watching T.V. about an hour later, when the doorbell rang. "Come on in!" Lindsi's mom said. "Who is it.." Lindsi asked. "Hello gorgeous." "TREVOR! YOU SHOULD BE AT SCHOOL! WHY ARE YOU HERE?" I called your mom and asked if I could come keep you company while you were sick. She okayed it and here I am." "MOM! YOU ARE AMAZING!" "Honey, Being sick is no fun, and I know you would enjoy having Trevor around." Trevor came over to the coouch with about 7 walmart bags. "I brought some supplys." Trevor began pulling things out of the bags. Orange juice, advil, Dayquil, Nyquil, vitamins, chocolate, popcorn, Gatorade, the ENTIRE box set of The Golden Girls on DVD, tissues with lotion and vicks, mucinex, and a huge fuzzy blanket. "This should cover everything for today." "TREVOR! YOU BOUGHT ALL THIS FOR ME!?" "yes, I have to keep my babygirl well, and good company, I hope you like The Golden Girls... I do." Trevor said turning semi red. "I love them." Lindsi said smiling and scooting over. Trevor took his coat off and laid it over the chaise lounge, and sat down on the couch with Lindsi. "Trevor! You bought all this!?" Lindsi's mom said coming back in the kitchen from outside. "Yes Ma'am. I knew as soon as I saw Lindsi this morning I was going to come over and spend the day, with your permission of course." "That's mighty sweet of you Trevor." Lindsi's mom said as she opened the box of Dayquil and popped two tablets out. "Lindsi baby, take these." Lindsi's mom handed Lindsi the tablets and Trevor the glass of water. Lindsi took the tablets and popped them in her mouth and took the glass from Trevor and swallowed. Trevor had went to put the first DVD in and was back on the couch by the time Lindsi was done swallowing. Trevor was sitting on the couch and had a pillow propped up against him so Lindsi could lay down and watch. "Lay down sweet girl." Lindsi did. "Trevor started playing with Lindsi's hair and laughing right along with her. This was perfect. Lindsi always wanted a relationship JUST LIKE this one. Lindsi had fallen asleep in the middle of the second episode. Trevor noticed and gently kissed her forehead. She had fever. "Mrs. Kathy... Lindsi's got a little bit of fever." "I'm going to call and see if I can't get her to the doctor today dear." "Okay.. Mind if I join you?" "Not at all. Lindsi is a big baby when it comes to the doctor though." Lindsi's mom said laughing. "I bet that's cute!" Trevor said. " She's always cutting up about something, something's always funny to her. And if theirs nothing to laugh at she makes something up. I swear that child is nuts somedays. Just laugh and giggle and poke fun. We will stay laughing most of the day. But when she gets like this she just droops. So I like to get her as well as I can as fast as I can." Lindsi's mom said from the kitchen. "Yes ma'am. I noticed this morning she wasn't her normal bubbly, happy self. Then I looked at her and knew she was sick." "You sure are special to her Trevor. She's waited a LONG LONG time for a boy like you to come along. Prayed and prayed. Even wrote a story about her perfect love." "I've waited for a girl just like her too, she is so unique, so different, I've NEVER seen nor met a girl like her. I'm so very proud to have her. A story you said? What was the guys name that was her perfect guy?" Lindsi mom smiled really big then. "Trevor."

Part 11.

Lindsi couldn't control herself. She ran to him. Chewy (her Maltese) barked his fool head off until Trevor bent down and scooped him up. "This must be the infamous Chewy. Hey Squirt!" Trevor said rubbing the top of his fuzzy head. Chewy was going crazy licking him. He usually didn't do that to people he'd only saw once. He'd barked at him when Trevor came into the house for their first date, but Lindsi's mom put him away shortly after that. He put Chewy back on the ground and then bent down to get a look at Maya (her new German Shepard/ Japanese Wolf puppy) "My my Maya. You are a beautiful puppy and loving too!" Trevor said as he let Maya jump on his legs and lick him to death. After she was done he rubbed her head and then stood to face Lindsi. "Now, you guys are both good looking dogs, but you can't compare to your momma. She is the best looking of them all." Trevor said as he pulled Lindsi in and held her and covered her in kisses. Lindsi burst out laughing. After Trevor stopped his kiss attack she said: "What in the world are you doing here on a Sunday? This is supposed to be family and Jesus's  day!" "I know and I'm sorry for showing up unannounced but I had to come see you. Dad wanted me to go to Wal-Mart any how so it was just a few more miles. I told him where I was going and he just laughed." "Trevor!" Lindsi and Trevor turned to see Lindsi's mom coming out to see them both. "What a surprise!" "I'm sorry Mrs. Chadwick, I did give Lindsi or you any notice I was dropping in but I had to come see Lindsi. I was in New Boston and it was just a couple more miles."  "It's fine. I don't mind. I'm sure Lindsi was surprised though." She said taking the leash's from Lindsi. "Thoroughly." Lindsi said hugging Trevor. Trevor wrapped his arms around her. "I'll take the dogs." Lindsi mom said as she started toward the house. I have something for you!" Trevor said as he opened the truck door. "You bought me something? TREVOR!" "I wanted to surprise you. Now close your eyes." Trevor said sheepishly. Lindsi did just that. "Open." When Lindsi opened her eyes Trevor stood behind the biggest bouquet of flowers Lindsi had ever seen. They weren't ordinary flowers either. They were the kind that are the really vibrant colors.  "TREVOR! OH MY GOODNESS! THESE ARE BEAUTIFUL!" Lindsi said as she took the huge bouquet. "Just like you, I thought roses were too cliché so I got these because they are different and special like you." "Oh you! You are the best!" Lindsi said as she kissed Trevor. "I love it when you do that." Trevor said as the kiss ended. "Kiss you?" "Yes." Trevor said wrapping Lindsi in his arms again. About that time his phone rang. "Dammit.." Trevor said as he reached into his pocket. "Hello? Hey dad. Yea.. but.. yea.. I know. But.. yes. Sir." Trevor hung up. "Looks like dad needs this paint in a hurry so I got to go.." "Go get your dad his paint sweetheart." I'll see you tomorrow. You can walk me to class if you want." "What about if we got breakfast together too?" Trevor said. "Sure! When and where?" "How about McDonalds on Richmond?" "Yum.. it's a date." Lindsi said. "Thank you again for the flowers my amazing boyfriend." Trevor shivered. "I love it when you say that." He was such a ham. But a cute sweet ham at that. Lindsi stood on her tiptoes and kissed him goodbye. "See you at McDonald's in the morning love."  "Can't wait. I'll text you when I get home babe." "No rush sweetie. I'll be waiting." Trevor hugged Lindsi one last time and drove away. "Lindsi smelled the flowers and then walked in the house with them. "Oh MY! THOSE ARE GORGEOUS!" Lindsi's mom exclaimed when she saw them. "Aren't they though?" Lindsi responded. She found a vase for them and put them in her room. When she turned her mother was standing in the doorway. "He sure does like you. I've never seen a boy so crazy about a girl as Trevor is about you." "Oh mom! I'm just as crazy about him. But a part of me still has that guard up. But he's breaking most of it down everyday we spend together." "He is quite the charmer. And respectful, and sweet, and.." Lindsi was staring  at her mother with a huge smile on her face. "You like him too! That's rare!" "Well.. I just think your fairytale might have come true with this one.

Part 10

Lindsi went to sleep that night dreaming of the date she just had. Trevor had texted her and told her he was home before she decided to go to bed, so she didn't worry about him. She woke the next morning and go ready for church. Trevor texted her good morning and they talked for a while before they both had to go get ready for church. Lindsi loved going to church on Sunday. She always felt whole, and at peace with herself and so close to GOD. She loved hearing His word and listening attentively as the preacher brought the message. It was close to Thanksgiving, so the message was related to that. Lindsi had TONS and TONS of things to be thankful for. Her family, her health, her college, her two adorable puppies, and Trevor. GOD had blessed her so much. She was also thankful for the decision she made to finally let go of the reigns and let GOD rule over her life. It was by far the best decision she'd ever made.
She thought back to August when she was going through her last really bad breakup. She was wreck. Her face was broken out from stress, she was depressed all the time, her life was a roller coaster. Until the day she and her boyfriend decided to split. Jacob (her boyfriend at the time) was so controlling, and though the two usually got along, they had been fighting over the smallest things lately. The two were even talking marriage and kids. Lindsi at one point believed it was going to work out and that everything would be fine. But it all came crashing in around her. On top of being very controlling Jacob and Lindsi's mother butted heads constantly, and Jacob didn't believe in GOD. That was the biggest issue in the two's relationship. Lindsi had tried to witness to Jacob over and over again but he wasn't going to ever listen or change his views. So Lindsi because of this and along with other reasons told him point blank that they weren't working out and they split up. Lindsi took the breakup hard. Even though they didn't see eye to eye, Lindsi did love Jacob. But she knew in her heart and soul that it wasn't going to ever work out between the two of them. GOD was a HUGE part of Lindsi's life, and she needed someone who would respect, honor and embrace that fact. So it took a while but Lindsi eventually moved on. She didn't do it alone, for she knew she couldn't. Lindsi had to enlist the help of her Savior. So with God by her side Lindsi started college and focused more on bettering herself. Then God smiled  down upon her and blessed her with Trevor.
"So tell me more about your date!" Lindsi's mom said as the two stood in the kitchen after church. Lindsi had told her mom first thing that she had finally agreed to be Trevor's girlfriend. " Really!? That's great! You know I am so proud of you for waiting and not just jumping head first." Lindsi's mom had told her after Lindsi spilled the beans. "Well, that comes from experience mom and this time I was determined to get it right." Lindsi had retorted back. "Right you are. You did a good job." Lindsi's mother had said.
Lindsi described the date to her mother as she helped put away the dishes out of the dishwasher. "Look like you found your Romeo." Lindsi mother had said smiling. "Yes! I hope so at least." "I like him. He was very polite, had a firm handshake and rough hands." Lindsi's  mom said.  "I thought you would like that! His fingernails are clean too!" Lindsi said cracking up. Lindsi's mom would always tell this story of a man that Lindsi's grandma would not date because his fingernail were dirty. Lindsi's mom busted out laughing too. "Your grandmother will love to here that!" Right around that time Lindsi's phone dinged. "Trevor?" Lindsi mother asked as she dried a dish. "Yep." Lindsi said looking at her phone. "Hey baby! :) How was church?" Read the text. " Hey handsome! :) It was good. It was about Thanksgiving." Lindsi responded. "Does this mean you are going to be holed up in your room again?" Lindsi mom asked slightly peeved. "No. Just connected to my phone." "Since when are you NOT connected to that thing?" Lindsi's mom asked smiling. "Okay.. More so than usual." Lindsi said giving her mother a slight nudge with her shoulder. Lindsi had to admit that since she was boy free she was much closer to her family. She doubted that would change. Trevor was important but it was always God first, family second (including the dogs), college third, then boyfriend. Trevor was the same way. After Lindsi finished helping her mother in the kitchen, she decided she would got for a walk with the dogs. She hooked Chewy, her little Maltese to his camo leash and collar, and then went outside to wrangle her German Shepard into her red collar and pink leopard retractable leash. The three started on their walk. Lindsi loved days like today, the sun was shining, there wasn't a cloud in the sky, it was cool but rather warm for November. Lindsi's phone dinged with an incoming text. " What is my beautiful girl doing?" Trevor said. " Walking the dogs. What about you handsome?" Lindsi texted back. " Looking at this amazing, sweet girl round this corner." Lindsi was rounding a corner to go back home. She looked up and there in her driveway was Trevor's truck.

Part 9

After the kiss ended Trevor scooped Lindsi up and held her close. "I'm SO glad you said yes." Trevor said as he kissed Lindsi's forehead. "Me too! I'm glad you gave me the time to decide." Lindsi said as she hugged Trevor. "Now. Part 3." Trevor said as he set Lindsi down. "Part 3!?" Lindsi asked. "Yes. Watching the stars and cuddling under this here blanket." Trevor said. "You know something?" Lindsi said as she snuggled next to Trevor under the blanket. "What beautiful?" Trevor said as he wrapped his arms around Lindsi. "I've ALWAYS WANTED a date just like this one. It's like you read my mind." "Awh! Really? Well I told you this was my dream date too." Trevor said as he held Lindsi. "Mhm.. That's what's.." Lindsi yawned. "So cool about it, about us." "Are you sleepy?" Trevor asked. "Well, Yes. See with my homework and Maya, my new puppy I got a month ago, I am slightly sleep deprived." "My poor girl." Trevor said as he pulled Lindsi closer. She laid her head on his shoulder. " You know.. If you want to take a short  nap we have an hour before we have to be back at your house." "There's no way I could sleep right now! Not during the date of my life!" Lindsi said laughing. "Alright then!" Trevor said.  Lindsi gave him a dignified nod and smiled. "Trevor..." "Yes AngelGirl?" "Do.. you think God put us together...?" Trevor shifted Lindsi in his arms so he could hold her and look at her at the same time. "Yes... I think He did. I think He made us both wait but.. I think we are meant to be in His eyes, at least I hope so." "Well I waited on Him and then here you come out of the blue! I have to say.. I was guarded.. I'm used to guys just after one thing.." Lindsi said looking away. Trevor lifted Lindsi's chin and looked at her. "I'm not. I PROMISE you. I promise." Lindsi touched Trevors hand. "I know. I know." " Let me love you Lindsi. Let me in. I want to heal you, help you, be there at 3 A.M. when you are having a problem. Believe me. All you gottta do is text me or call and I will drive all the way from TK with my flashers on to get to you." Lindsi smiled. "Awh!" "It's true." "I'm guilty of falling for a guy too easy Trevor.. I did.. and every time I did they left  me to suffer.. that's why it's so hard for me now.." Then Trevor did something Lindsi never would have suspected. "Fall when your ready baby, let our kiss count the moments, and heart set the pace, and I'll be your love song, and I'll sweep you right off your feet, til you fall into me." Trevor sang. "That's... Brantley Gilberts song "Fall Into Me"! Lindsi exclaimed. "Yes sweetheart and the word of that song are true." "TREVOR!!!" Lindsi gushed as she snuggled into him. "I'm not going to push you Lindsi. I know you have been hurt ALOT, but I need you to know I'm not one of those guys. I'll always be here for you babe." Trevor said as he kissed Lindsi's forehead. "I know Trevor. I know. I believe you. But I still feel like this is a dream and I'm going to wake up at home in my bed." "Babe, this isn't a dream. It's our own personal fairytale. You are my Princess." "Thank you Prince Charming." Lindsi said and smiled as she kissed Trevor again. "I hate to say but the clock is about to strike 12. But fear not. I will see you Monday and text you and call you like crazy until then." Lindsi smiled. "I'm fine with that." Lindsi and Trevor then got back into the truck and started toward Lindsi's house again. When they got there Trevor walked Lindsi to the door. "I had a GREAT time tonight." Trevor said to Lindsi. "ME TOO!" It was actually my first REAL date.." Lindsi confessed. "Wow!" Trevor said. "Yea.. I know.. lame." "NO! Not at all. I actually thank your douchebag ex's." "You do?" Lindsi said puzzled. "Yes. I do. Because if they hadn't let you go I wouldn't have ever found you." "I'm so glad you did." Lindsi said shyly. "Me too Lindsi." Trevor said as he neared for a goodnight kiss. Lindsi wrapped her arms around his neck and his slipped around her waist. The two kissed then. And for once in her life Lindsi felt like this was were she was supposed to be. She had no worries, no questions, no fears, no anxiety. Her head and her heart both agreed. This guy was amazing and that was a good feeling to have. The two broke apart. "Goodnight Trevor." "Goodnight Lindsi." Lindsi turned and unlocked the door and Trevor turned to go. "It's so sad to see you go..." Lindsi said lingering at the door. "Fear not Princess." Trevor said and walked to his truck. Lindsi stepped inside the door and didn't even get it shut and her phone buzzed. She knew who it was. "I miss you" The text read. She shut the door and looked out the living room window. There stood Trevor by his truck, driver's door open, phone in hand and a big smile on his face. She blew him a kiss out the window and texted back: "I miss you too! NO TEXTING AND DRIVING." He caught her kiss and put it in his heart and smiled as her text came back. He put a thumb up and waved as he climbed into his truck and drove off. She watched out the window until he was gone, then walked back to her room thinking to herself. "The white horse was traded for a lifted Z 71. But the boy is everything I've ever wanted."
